Housing Memories 2012
In 2012 Photographic Artist Jeanette Lowe held an exhibition "Memories, Perception: Reality' in a flat, converted into a gallery, in Pearse House flats in Dublin city cente. This short video shows the exhibition. The exhibition ran for two weeks and attracted thousands of people. Many people used the exhibition as a reason to visit the flats they had lived in, or their grandparents had lived in. Pearse House was built in the early 1930s by the architect Herbert Simms. Jeanette's grandmother Bridget 'Birdy' Ashmore was one of the first residents in the 1930s.
