Resistance Songs 2013
Austerity today...homeless and unseen...shadow man
I used to pass a shop doorway in Henry Street, Dublin on my way to work every day. On the cold dark mornings, there would be a huddled body sleeping on cardboard and covered in a thin, cheap sleeping bag. In the crevice of his shelter, I knew this man was living in a much harsher world, while only a short distance away shoppers and office workers strolled past. I wrote this song for him. 'Shadow man', words and music by Emer Fox. Special thanks to Gregory Daurer (Gregory Ego) for his photo 'No Loitering'.
